I bought this particular pot way back in 1996 and have used it since. It was my first purchase of Le Creuset and I fell in love with it.Back then all my kids were still at home and that meant I needed larger pots to cook family sized meals so unless I was just heating up some veggies this little pot didn't get used too much. Now that the kids are grown and gone it gets used a lot. With just hubby and I to feed now a days I make slow braised short ribs in it, small pot roasts, soups, stews and potatoes and all kinds of things. It earns its space in my pot collection every day by being so darn dependable. I love that I can start things on the stove top and finish them in the oven, it also holds the heat at the table in case we want seconds, no more microwaving seconds because they have cooled off too much while we are eating. I would love to have some of the larger of their pots now, but at my age and with no kids to cook for anymore they wouldn't really be too practical for me, plus the weight issue with my arthritic hands could make my lifting and manuvering them problematic. ...Read More
