don’t bother trying to order this thing if you live in canada… apparently you might be a terrorist or something and they can’t ship it to you… this is an important product for usa national security…

don’t waste your time and go find a nice canadian source for a similar product.

  2. Blade is too long to be practical. Teeth are not fine enough for easy cutting.

The Chicago Cuttlery knife was excellent and exactly as expected. Unfortunately, the shipping was screwed up so it didn’t arrive in time for my trip to visit the gift recipient at Christmas so the gift was late.

  4. Knife is long enough that I can use a bread slicer guide for even slices. It is sharp and cuts hard crust bread very well.

I purchased this knife because of the length of the blade, which I needed for slicing large round loaves of home made bread. I also assumed that the brand name would be reliable. So far, I have owned the knife for a few weeks and it does slice fine, but the wooden handle is not nicely finished and feels rough in my hand. I may try to condition it with some boos wood chopping block oil, although, I’m not sure that this is a good idea- to make a knife handle temporarily slippery while the oil soaks in completely.
